Sorry for the lateness, but I think I’m getting the flu or something.
This weekend, was fun. I sprained my ankle at a softball game, but it’s not bad and I was able to play the rest of the game. Too bad it was the last game of the season, as I really enjoyed it.
And someone posted a comment back in an older page asking if I’m from Bergen County. I am not and have never been there, but I was a huge fan of the Cadets of Bergen County, which is the oldest fuctioning drum & bugle corps in existence. They were once called the Holy Name Cadets, then Garfield Cadets, then Cadets of Bergen County. They swithced their name to simply, “The Cadets.” I guess they got tired of changing their name every time they moved their base of operations. Here’s a cool video of them if anyone cares. There’s an awesome drumline feature near the middle:
And there were a few new people that commented on last week’s page, but I was unable to approve them till now, so sorry about that.

I hope you’re not getting the flu.

Try doing a full-body detox? Flush the toxins out of your system (low sodium diet, drink LOTS of bottled water), and your body can fight off the flu much more easily.
Also, lots of fruits and veggies (high in vitamins and minerals).
Avoid canned soup, unless you’re severely dehydrated due to…symptoms…and need to retain water badly. If you want soup, make your own.
Just a suggestion.
Also, I did a detox, and started eating organic, and I lost 20 lbs in 15 days, and felt better than I have in a VERY long time.

BTW, I just read what I wrote, and realized it sounded a bit off. A detox is more than just water. Milk thistle extract to clean out your liver; bentonite (a purified form of a type of clay), to clear out the heavy metals and pesticides stored in your fatty tissues; a few types of tea that help clean the kidneys; cranberries (jellied, juiced, etc) to clear out the kidneys and bladder; lots of high fiber foods (except for beans) to clean out your gut; and mint to regulate digestion and to keep your lungs clear.
Or, you could spend $35 or so to buy a detox kit (likely your best bet) and a bottle of bentonite. Even better if you’re eating mostly organic foods while you do it, to avoid the pesticides, artificial additives and preservatives, and artificial hormones in most ’standard’ foods.
You might still get sick, but A.) it won’t be nearly as bad, and B.) you’ll get over it much more quickly.

That’s some explosive decompression up there. Wonder what Maynard is up to.
BTW Flu. Yuck. Keep a good supply of OJ on hand and try to get lots of nutrients in your system before any stomach problems set in. Your body needs lots of vitamins, protein and whatnot to do battle with the evil flu bug.
Or maybe it’s not too late to get a shot.

Oh man the cadets are pretty tight, and it’s cool to know there’s another person who knows of DCI
My cousin got to do the gig for a few years, playing snare.Pretty neat and awesome stuff; puts college and high school marching waaaaaay in the dust.

Oh hell yeah. I was at Finals in 2006 — I love the Cavies, but Phantom shoulda won that one. If you look back in the archives, Evan has a Santa Clara Vanguard shirt and and an old Garfield Cadets hoodie.
Where did your cousin march? And what seasons?
