Severed Ties-2008-07-22

I was at a LAFF softball game this past weekend with my friend Furball2K. It was pretty fun even though we got our asses kicked. I think it was 21-12 or something like that. I’m okay at batting, but my fielding skill is nonexistent, so I must practice. I’m most likely heading to a bowling event this coming saturday. It should be fun.

Aww, Evan’s face is so cute in the last pannel. Cuter than normal that is.

  2. The Pitiful Writer Says:

    Hmm^^ still following Evan..

and? I just had to comment about the ears… for 20min now I’ve done nothing but studying the ears…

How Evan’s mother’s ears are hanging down.. while his are perked up… and how his father has a little cut in one of them^^ it really enhance their appearance a lot..

*goes back to staring at the ears*

Evan’s ears are also kind of floppy, while his father’s ears are stiffer. His mother is a Border Collie and his Father is a coyote, so I kinda went in-between with Evan’s ears.

  4. Spike Truent Says:

    It’s very lifelike ears.

-yawns- And I bet you bat pretty well. Just modest and all.

  5. Vinnie D. Says:

You have a point on the ears. Though Evan’s are the only ones whom seem to have an ambition to devour his head and neighboring panels. :P

  6. Spike Truent Says:

There like vennis fly traps :3 They catch flys and bugs

  7. Balron Says:

I’ve got a question for you: who were you’re artistic influences (if you have any)?

  8. admin Says:

Hmmm, I’d say, Mike Judge, Dan Clowes, Jeff Smith and Stan Sakai. This comic’s main influence is King of the Hill.

  9. Spike Truent Says:

    Whhhhaaaaaaaaaaat?

No way. King of the hill has it’s awkward blue collar humor though in many points it does have white collar. This has the sophisticated white collar humor and deals with very blah blah balsdfslkjfsldfkjwpfsd

    I’m just making up shit.

It may not be overtly apparent, but it was highly influential for me. Not so much in content, but it being about normal people, the style of humor and how the structure is set up. I think it shows itself mostly in the Assassin story.

  11. Lurch Says:

Hey, man. I just wanted to give a few words of encouragement. I have always liked your comic and look forward to it updating. The story is interesting and engaging. Keep going if you would. =)

    :O furball2k
:O King of the Hill. My Hank impression is spot on. Come to bowling again!
