Severed Ties-2008-07-15

Not a whole lot to report this time. But I will be going to the LAFF softball game with my friend Furball2k in Waukegan. I suck at softball, but oh well. It’s also supposed to rain that day, but fuck that shit. It should be fun.

Can’t wait for the finished product. It looks good so far.

Noooo not more drama, I had enough on my plate with Evan And Ryan, Evans anorexia, Evans sexual preference and lack there of, And the acceptance of his father. NOW it’s with his mom being sick, I bet she has leukemia.

This arc will Rock but take a toll on my emotional being.

    You suck you awesome guy.

    and first comment!

Oh I had a question. Whats that small strap that’s hooking onto the main strap? It seems to me like ether a fashion statement or a meltdown of the designer causing him to add it.

And what’s with those short shorts?

  2. Eldon Says:

Just like my dad. Thinks I’m his own personal geek squad.

  3. admin Says:

The small strap is a cross strap that is found on bike messenger bags. It prevents the bag from sliding off while riding.

And those aren’t shorts shorts. I just drew them badly.

  4. Yoshi Says:

I can totally relate to being a fathers tech support haha.

    and

Good job on the page! <3

  5. Spike Truent Says:

So weird why fathers are like that.

  6. Spike Truent Says:

And thank you Mr. Evan <3 Nothing but love for you

  7. Kent Says:

Heh. “I own a Mac, not Windows”. I agree 100% with this statement, although I own both. Mac’s rule.

  8. Kaleb Says:

i wanna see EvanXRyan make-up sex scene.
    c’mon!!! viva la evan/ryan revolution!!!!

  9. Spike Truent Says:

    I totally 100% agree with Kaleb’s statement!

  10. admin Says:

Speaking of which, I haven’t drawn Ryan in ages.

  11. Arti Says:

Spike and Kaleb you make me laugh. And you Chris, your webcomic is great. I just finished going through the archive and plan on following the story.

Yep, never takes my Dad long to bring up a tech support question. I like the “fly on the on wall” perspective in panel four but then the amateur architect takes over - where are they in the house? Three rooms visible, one with a tiled floor, one with parquet and another that looks carpeted - kitchen, dining and lounge? But a TV on a mobile stand in the kitchen? Or are the still standing just inside the door?

Also, re previous instalment, yeah for brick walls and hedges.

  13. admin Says:

From the viewer’s perspective, the family room is to the left, and the kitchen is behind them and is actually a step down from the main room. I had them sort of walk over to another room in panel 2, and panel 3 is a neutral shot so that I could have the two of them switch sides.

  14. Valk Says:

Kaleb’s comment started a train of thought. Would you, Mr. Admin sir, take offense if someone, and I mention no names, took it upon themselves to draw such a scene?

  15. admin Says:

It wouldn’t offend me, but it’d be a little weird.

  16. Valk Says:

Duly noted, though ‘a little’ is understating it.

  17. Spike Truent Says:

    I think Valk has….something in Miiiiind…

    TEA PARTY

  18. Arti Says:

Oh goody! I do love a good “tea party.”

  19. Spike Truent Says:

    Indeed fellow gentleman.

  20. Veteran Says:

    Scared now…

And hooray for bookmarking the wrong fucking page and missing an update by several days!

Now for absolutely no reason at all i’m off to Austria, back next friday! w00t…

  21. hw Says:

Some where there’s a porn image board site, that will soon have a thread named after your comic…

    Haha, gotta love the internets.
